Dear Local 2199 Brothers and Sisters,
The nominations for Officers and Executive Board positions of Local Union 2199 were held on May 17, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the F. J. Donovan Post 1626, 3210 Genesee St, Cheektowaga NY 14225.
The rules that govern Local Union 2199’s election procedures are contained in the following:
– Labor–Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (LMRDA)
– IBEW Constitution
– IBEW Basic Laws & Policies
– Local 2199 bylaws
All Officer and Executive Board positions for Local Union 2199 ran unopposed. In accordance with the rules that govern the election procedures, the Recording Secretary cast one vote for all unopposed positions. All elected candidates have been a member a minimum of two years and are all in continuous good standing in Local Union 2199. In accordance with the IBEW Constitution and Local Union 2199 Bylaws the installation of Officers and Executive Board members shall occur in July 2023, the term of office is (3) three years.
Local 2199 would like to say thank you to Julie Kruk, Election Judge and Todd Mertens, Election Teller, for accepting your role as election officials which carries an enormous amount of responsibilities.
